About the Logo

You may have seen the "JB" brand on hats and stickers or posts I've made and wondered, "What's that all about?" I am the namesake of my Grandfather, John Mark Burge, Jr. One of the biggest voids in my life is that I never got to meet him. He passed many years before I was born. Still, I have always taken great pride in bearing his name. Everything I've ever learned about him reveals him to be a great, strong, influential man. I see those qualities in my father and pray that I can exemplify them as well. The "JB" was my grandfather's cattle brand.

My dad still has the brand today. When I reconnected with music in recent years and decided to pursue music full-time, I was considering what logo(s) I would use for my "branding." I had one made with my full name, but with my dad's permission, I decided to use my grandfather's "JB" brand as well. Fast forward 2-3 years and I'm enjoying the most success I ever have with music. My dad and I just completed work on a new studio/creative space for me to utilize throughout my music career and included this branding the doorframe to the new space. Now, every time I enter this sacred space, I reach up to touch the family JB brand. I'm eager to use that space to create the best music of my life.
